THEFT IN SYDNEY
RACING PRIZE-MONEY TWO CHEQUES CASHED WATCH KEPT FOR OTHERS (Received July 0, 0.45 p.m.) BYDNEY, July 6 Part of the prize-money for the Kensington races last Saturday, in open cheques worth £290, was stolen this afternoon from the club's office in Sydney. The two largest cheques, one for £B3 13s 4d and the other for £77 13s 4d, were cashed by the thief. The police have warned business men that it anticipated attempts will be made to cash the remainder.
