A BRIDGE AFTERNOON
ALL SAINTS' COMMITTEE Outstanding success marked tho bridge afternoon organised by the All Saints' ladies social committee and held in the All Saints' Church hall yesterday. The proceeds of tho function will be donated toward wiping off tho balance of tho mission quota. There were 32 tables occupied by bridge players, the first prize being won by Mrs. Fahey and the hidden number prize by Mrs. S. Taklo. The prizes, which were donated by Mrs. Stace Bennett and Mrs. J. L. Scoullar, were presented by tho Hev. W. W. Averill, who thanked the players for their support. The social committee comprised: — Mrs. W. W. Averill, Mrs. Charles Cato, Mrs. J. L. Scoullar (secretary), Mrs. A. Goldie, Mrs. C. F. Bennett, Mrs. Stace Bennett, Mrs. T. Billington, Mrs. L. J. Shrubsall, Mrs. J. R. Self, Mrs. Wilfred Manning, Mrs. H. Squires, Mrs. Victor Usher, Mrs. l'\ Worsfold, Mrs. Norman Cato, Mrs. Kdward Smith, Mrs. J. Irwin, Mrs. Balfour M. Irvine, Mrs. Walter Reid. Mrs. C. H. T. Palmer, Mrs. J. Hodgson and Miss Doris Shrubsall.
