CANTERBURY COLLEGE
Separate departments of education and philosophy will bo established at Canterbury College, according to a decision of the college council. Acting on a report of the college staff and appointments committee, the council decided to create the two departments, with Professor James Shelley, present professor of education, as professor in charge, with another professor as head of the philosophy department, to possess special qualifications in psychology. It was also decided to appoint a lecturer with special qualifications in philosophy, an assistant lecturer mainly concerned with education, a part-time assistant, and a student assistant.
