CRUISE TO ISLANDS
monowai sails to-night all accommodation booked! _ . •*::k V-4 After arriving from Sydney yestcK day afternoon the Monowai, which jj? at Queen's Wharf, was withdrawn fronj the intercolonial service and she will leave this evening on a 15-days' cruise to Tonga, Fiji and Samoa with 310 excursionists. The popularity of the cruise is indicated by the fact that all the vessel's passenger accommodation will be occupied and a further number of people would have made the cruise if cabins had been available. The places to be visited by the Mono, wai will be Nukualofa and Vavau Tonga), Apia. (Samoa), and Levuka and Suva (Fiji). During the passage from Apia to Levuka the Monowai will stop off Niunfoou Island, where thousands of letters will be landed to be marked with the " tin can mail" stamp. At sea during the cruise and at all the places visited, the excursionists will be catered for by a variety of entertainments. The Monowai will return to Auckland on July 22 and she will then be laid up.
