ONE KILLED AND SEVEN INJURED AS THE RESULT OF AN AVALANCHE AT THE HOMER TUNNEL WORKINGS Buildings at the foot of the Homer Saddle outside the Hollyford Valley entrance to the tunnel. The Te Anau-Milford Road will enter the tunnel through the cutting aeen on the left. An avalanche which caused the accident yesterday morning swept down on the workings from the steeply-rising mountain-side.
