MILITARY APPOINTMENT
QUARTERMASTER-GENERAL The position of QuartermasterGeneral ot the New Zealand Military Forces, which will bedomo vacant this month, when Colonel E. Puttick, D.5.0., of the New Zealand Stall Corps, leaves for England to attend the Imperial Defence College, is to be filled by the appointment of LieutenantColonel It. A. How, D.5.0., who is at present chief staff officer of the Central Command.
Colonel l?o\v, who served in the Great War from 1914 to 1918, and commanded the First and Third Battalions of the Canterbury Regiment, was formerly a general staff officer of the Southern Command in Christehurcb
