Mr. C. F. Champion, secretary of the Christchurch Drainage Board, has completed 30 years' service with the board. He joined the board's staff in 1906 as a junior clerk, was appointed accountant in 19] 2, acting-secretary in 1920, and was confirmed in the position of secretary and treasurer in 1921.
