MINISTER'S KINDLY ACT
CONVEYANCE OF CHILDREN
REQUESTS FOR AUTOGRAPH
A considerate action by the Minister of Railways, the Hon. I). G. Sullivan, delighted a party of schoolchildren at Huntly yesterday. When the children were granted a half-holiday in honour of the official visit, the Minister learned that about 20 pupils of the Huntly High School would have fully two hours to wait for their train to carry thein home.
Mr. Sullivan thereupon agreed to have the children carried in the special car which took him and his party to Glen Afton. The elated scholars, saved from a tedious wait, made full use of their opportunities and the Minister was busily employed throughout the journey signing improvised autograph books.
