In replying to a question in the House of Commons to-day the President of the Board of Trade. Mr. Walter Rtmciman. said that, pending the final results of an investigation of the geographical distribution of British capital investments overseas, be estimated the nominal value of British investments in 1935 as follows:—In Argentina, £l3/).000,000; in Brazil, £190,000,000; in other South American countries, £160,000,000. Dividends and interest remitted on investments in the countries referred to in 1035 amounted approximately to £8,500,000, £3,500,000 and £3,250,000 respectively.
