UNITARIAN DRAMA CLUB

At the meeting of the Unitarian Drama Club three one-act plays were read. They were "Becky Sharp," read by Misses M. 131 a key and M. Hosking, and Messrs. Blakev, Greendale and Toner, and criticised by Mr, ,T. Steen; "Followers," read by Misses E. Pinson, Clough and Griflin and Mr. J. McKenzie, and criticised by Mr. J. Toner; and "Behold 1 Stand at the Door," read by Misses .Jellie and Pinson, and Messrs. N. Blakey, Coyne, Hosking and the Rev. Dr. Mitchell. Many helpful criticisms and suggestions were made both by the official and unofficial critics, especially in the case of the last play, which has boon" dramatised by a member of the club from a Russian short story and is to be produced shortly. Tentative arrangements wero made for the production of a series of original dramatic interludes at a bazaar to be hold by the Women's League in September.
