COLLISION ON ROAD
WOMAN LOSES LIFE SISTER SERIOUSLY INJURED [BY TELKCKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] ASHBURTON, Thursday A fatal motor collision occurred on the main south road near Winslow last evening, Miss Mary Emily Lowo, aged 27, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Lowe, of Hinds, being killed. Her sister, Mrs. G. H. Farrell. of Hinds, suffered a fracture of the skull and is in a serious condition. A car driven by a brother of Miss Lowe, Mr. Thomas Peter Lowe, and containing also his father and mother and Miss Watson, of Hinds, met in collision with a car driven by Mr. Do Lacy Cameron. The whole side of Mr. Lowe's car was stripped off. It is thought that Miss Lowe was killed instantaneously. Mrs. Farrell was taken to hospital.
