PRESENTATIONS

Two employees of George Court and Sons, Limited, who had completed 20 years' service with the firm, Miss V. Guest and Mr. J). O'Malley , were the recipients of gold watches from the directors at a ceremony this week, A total of 25 employees has received presentations on the completion of 20 years' service, and of this number 18 are still with the) firm. It is estimated that the total years of service given by these employees would number 451 years. A farewell was tendered' at Opotiki this week to Mr. Gordon Forbes, who has been a member of the stall' of the Opotiki post office for eight years, and who has been transferred to Tokomaru Bay. The postmaster, Mr. A. P. Stuart, in presenting Mr. Forbes with a fountain pen and pencil, wished him success in his new position. Two gatherings were also held at Otara, where Mr. Forbes was again the recipient of gifts.
