CANTERBURY CLUB
ELECTION OF OFFICERS A well-nttoiuled mooting of the re-cently-formed Canterbury Club, comprising former Canterbury residents uoav living in Auckland, was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening. A constitution drawn up by the interim committee was adopted. Tho following officers were elected:— Patron, Sir Walter Stringer; president, Mr. It. Frost; vice-presidents, Archbishop Averill, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and Mr. J. Hardcastlo; secretary, Mr. Miuchin Hudd; treasurer, Mr. W. E, Burley; auditor, Mr. H. La wry, committee, lie v. 11. G. Coats, Dr. E. G. Savers, Messrs. Noel Knight, J. 10 Green, F. l\ Arnold, T. Joll, \Y. J. Hampton-Reynolds, P. M. Curnow, C. B. Jones and J. Waddell. It was announced that members of the local Timaru Club, numbering 130, had signified their intention of joining the new provincial "club.
