TRAFFIC IN DRUGS
CONTROL AND SUPERVISION LEAGUE ADVISORY COMMITTEE British Wireless RUGBY, Mfty 31 The advisory committee of tho League of Nations on tho traffic in opium and other dangerous drugs has considered the annual reports for 1934 from Governments on tho traffio in these drugs. The reports contain statements concerning tho legislative and administrative measures used in different countries for ensuring tho supervision of the illicit drug traffic, for controlling the international trade in and production of raw materials in countries producing poppy, coco leaf and Indian hemp, and the output of manufactured drugs in 2.'< countries and territories. The committee examined the question of the relatively high consumption of morphine in certain countries, and proposed that codine should be used instead of morphine in certain countries.
