CROQUET FUNCTIONS
NORTH SHORE AFTfcRNOON The first of a series of monthly bridge afternoons organised by the members of the North Shore Croquet Club was held in the Devonport Bowlers' pavilion yesterday. In the absence of the president, Mrs. M. Erickson, the vice-presi-dent, Airs. F. Mason, received the players. Stationary bridge was played, the prize-winners being Mrs W Roeers, first, and Mrs. G. S. Ardley. second.

STANLEY BAY CLUB The annual general meeting and prizegiving of the Stanley Bay Croquet Club was held in the Ngataringa Tennis pavilion yesterday, the retiring president, Mrs. A. Callan, presiding. ft was stated during the meeting that the lawns would be open for play during the winter. The prize-winners for the season were:—Mrs. H Purser, championship singles; Mrs. A. Callan and Mrs. W. V. Bremner, championship doubles. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. W. V. Bremner; vice-president, Mrs. R. Hughes; hon. secretary, Mrs. J. Donaldson: green superintendent, Mrs. H. Purser; social committee, Mrs. R. Hovte, Mrs. J Crawford. Mrs. Hjorring; general committee, Mrs. A. Callan, Mrs. W. Grinter.
