BLOMFI ELD BEATS ELLIOT HEAVY-WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION! INVERCARGILL, Monday Lofty Blomfield, of Auckland, and King Elliot, of Wanganui, met this evening to decide the New Zealand heavy-weight wrestling title. The verdict went to Blomfield, whoso octopus clamp put Elliot out of action halfwaV through the seventh round. Elliot had secured the only fall in the match to that stage with a body press in the fourth round and was ahead on points. Blomfield's weight was given, as 16st 81b. and Elliot's as 15st. 61b.

WELLINGTON, Monday In eight strenuous rounds of unfriendly wrestling at the Wellington Town Hall to-night Paul Bocsch beat Russell by the only fall of tho match, which he won in tho fifth round with a body press after some perfectlytimed and devastating drop-kicks. Tho match was very fast and spectacular, with some showmanship, but much hard v/restling.
