Shanghai, 6sy Jamaica, Lagos and Sydney, 6s. : The race started at 1.37 a.m., N«f Zealand time, and finished at 1.39&, Ths result was known in the New Zealand Herald Office at 1.40 a.m., by courtesy of officers of the Pacific Cable Board.
