PRISON FOR DESERTER
A plea of guilty to a charge of deserting from the motor-vessel Rangitane on May S was made in the Police Court on Saturday by John Patrick Noble, seaman, aged 24. He explained that lie wished to get married. He was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment.
