BURIAL IN THE ABBEY FUNERAL TO-MORROW (Received May 1", 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, May 16 The lato Lord Allenb.v will bo buried in the Warriors' Chapel in Westminster Abbey on Tuesday. The King will be represented by Field-Marshal Sir Philip Clietwode, and Field-Marshal Sir Claud Jacob will represent the Duke of Connaught.
DOMINION'S SYMPATHY "AN INSPIRED COMMANDER" [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The following message has been despatched by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, to Lady Allenby:—"The Government and people of New Zealand, with whom Lady Galway and I associate ourselves, wish to express profound sorrow at the passing of your husband and to convey to you the deepest sympathy in the great loss you have sustained. Viscount Allenby's high personal qualities and splendid achievements in the service of the Empire will live long in the memory of New Zealanders. and especially of those who still remember him as an inspired commander who led the way to victory in Palestine."
