LADY CtfNARD'S PARTY ACT OF PIoAY PERFORMED TRANSFEk FROM A THEATRE (Received May 17, 5.5 p.m.) .LONDON, May 16 King Edward last evening was tho chief guest' at a dinner party in tho West End home of Lacf.v Cunard, one of London's loading hostesses. In regal fashion, she staged in her drawing room the complete last act of tho play "Storm in a Teacup." All the actors, the scenery and the stage hands were transferred in taxis and private cars from the EDaymarket Theatre.
Tho 20 actors and actresses, who were fully made up and wore their costumes, included Miss Sarah Allgood and Mr. C. M. Hallard. Tho King congratulated the members of tho cast and patted Miss mongrel dog, one of tho most amusing characters in the play, which was bought at a dogs' home for
Lady Maud Cunard, who is tho widow of Sir Bac-he Cunard, is greatly interested in music and literature. She is the president of the Grand Council of the Royal Philharmonic Society, and a director of tho Royal Opera at Covent Garden.
