CONCERTS AT HOSPITAL
The patients of Ward 1 at the Auckland Public Hospital were entertained last week by a concert party, arranged by Mr. Jack McCarthy, who is a patient in the ward. A programme of dance, instrumental, vocal and humorous 'items was thoroughly enjoyed. "Uncle Jim" conducted the entertainment and Mr. Jiichard McKenna, of "Uncle Jim's" Radio Players, gave piano-accordeon items which were greatly appreciated. Mesdames. Cornwall and Fitzpatrick were the accompanists and the following assisted: Mesdames. Cornwall, McCarthy, Fitzpatrick, Misses D. Dunn, E. Cooney, Gloria Le Lean, Messrs. Jack McCarthy, R. McKenna, A. King! (patient Ward 3), G. Cooper (Blind Piper) r Master Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Uncle Jim. . The weekly concert at the Public Hospital arranged by Mrs. Raeburn and Mr, A. Hamblin was held in Ward 22A on Wednesday evening. The programme consisted of songs, duets, fancy and tap dancing, etc. Those taking part were: —Mjss Gladys Stormont, Miss Kathleen Boyle, "Miss Hineroa Stewart. Miss Aldwvth Dunn, Miss Anita Copeland, Miss Mina Foley, Mrs. V. Watson, Mrs. F. Lambert, Mr. S. Mr. B. Rae and Mr; F. McKnight. The accompanist was Madame Dunn.
