FINE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT TWO PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS The programme which the Auckland Boxins Association will stage at. the I own Hall to-night can confidently be said to be the most outstanding offered for a long lim<\ Two professional bouts, one of which will bring together Cyril Pluto and Fred ("Kid"'* Fisher, and the other Jim Broadfoot and Seaman Ryan, as wall as a special teams' contest between Navy fighters, and four amateur preliminary bouts, will be included. This carnival should be an outstanding success from the viewpoint of spectators, and the Auckland Boxing Association deserves the congratulations and support of all who enjoy hard, clean sport. With a clear-cut win over Reg. Mickey, who has a decision over Pluto, Fisher is confident that he will be able to stop the successful record of the Australian, while Pluto is keen to uphold his reputation and ajso avenge the. defeat which the Englishman inflicted on his countryman. The contest promises thrills in plenty, as also does the bout between Broad foot, who is malting a re-appearance in the ring, and Ryan, a hard, seasoned fighter. The four amateur contests and the special teams' match between 20 sailors completes the programme. The hooking is reported as being exceptionally good.
