MORE USE OF SERVICE |BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION J WELLINGTON, Thursday Last week provided the best ;ur mail returns the Post and Telegraph Department has had since the service was» inaugurated on the Palmerston North Dunedin and Wollington-Ulenheinv Nelson runs, excepting those of the first week, when postings were abnormal because of the extraordinary interest on the first two days by philatelists throughout New Zealand. The number of letters carried by air each week has been: —First week, 36,793; second week, 12,470; third week, 14,159; fourth week 11,776; fifth week, 10,936; sixth week, 12.402; seventh week, 15,993. In addition, 3722 overseas air mail letters have been distributed through New Zealand without extra charge on delivery by ship from Australia.
