ARMY, SISTERS' REUNION
FINE RECORD OF WORK Tbe lounge of the Auckland Lyceum Qlub with its cheery fires and large bowls of autumn flowers made an attractive rendezvous for the annual meeting and reunion of the Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association. The president, Miss R. Mirams, presided. The honorary secretary, Mrs. P. J. North, presented the report, which showed that a busy and successful year had been experienced. Members had attended the Anzac Parade. Over £BO had been raised through the individual efforts of members, Mrs. McKenzie being responsible for a large proportion of this sum. Out of this fund grants had been made to the lixServicewomen's Association and Toe H for their benevolent work, the remainder being used to assist families of needy returned soldiers, whose names were supplied by the R.S.A. These had been visited and looked after by the president, secretary or other members. Miss Mirams reported that the wreath placed on the Cenotaph on Anzac Day, a replica of the Sisters' badge, had subsequently been placed by the museum officials on the shrine.
The election of officers for the year resulted: —President, Miss R. Mirams; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mrs. P. J. North; assistant honorary secretary, Miss I. Hood; executive committee, Mesdames Latchmore, de Jatinay, Wick steed, Webster, Misses Rudd, C. Cherry, Mandeno, K. Wright and Bird; reporter, Mrs. F. Webster; delegates to National Council of Women, Mrs. North and Miss Broun. Miss A. Bagley is a life vice-president. Appreciation was expressed of the work done by Miss Mirams and Mrs. North during the past year. It was agreed that an effort should be made, as is usual, to raise funds to continue the work of assisting families of returned soldiers.
