PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB

- FARMERS' BALL HELD A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION Popular hunting songs and choruses resounded merrily at tho Farmers' Ball given by the master and members of the Pakuranga Hunt Club in tho Mangere East Hall last night. Thronged with dancers, the hall had been attractively decorated with tho walls covered with crossed ferns and branches. The stage, which was occupied by tho orchestra, tho members of which wore scarlet hunting coats, was banked with chrysanthemums in rich autumn tonings, while flanking the entire front of the stage was a brush hedge, which completed a most appropriate decorative scheme. Tho supper tables were arranged with tall crystal vases of golden toned chrysanthemums. In the absence of the master, Mr. H.. Bullock-Webster, tho guests were received by tho deputy-master, Dr. A. McGregor Grant and Mrs. Grant, who was wearing a frock of mulberry lace under a mulberry ring velvet coatee. Among those present were:—Mrs. A. E.
