CARLTON CROQUET CLUB
A pleasant, gathering was held at the Carlton croquet lawns on Wednesday, when the B members of the club* entertained in honour of Mrs. Joass, who had heen successful in winning the B championship. During afternoon tea Mrs. Hoilay presented Mrs. Joass with a miniature silver cup, and Mrs. Goodison, the runner-up, with a kewpie dressed in black and gold (the club's colours). Mrs. Perry (vice-president) was presented with a bouquet of sweets and an autograph album, with the good wishes of the B members. During the luncheon interval Mrs. Staunton, Mrs. T. P. Cole and Mrs. Dukes gave items. Prize-winners for the day were Mescalines Goodison, Hoilay, Dukes and Miss Detts.
