AUCKLAND SAVAGE CLUB
OPENING OF 1936 SESSION The Auckland Savage Club will begin its 1936 session at a korero in the Lewis Eady Hall to-morrow night. The new rangatira, Captain R. S. Judson, will preside, and a large attendance is expected. Following are the officers for 1936: Ariki, the Governor-General, Viscount Galway; rangatira, Captain Judson; tohunga, Mi'- H. E. Gillespie; past rangatiras, Messrs. W. H. V. Taine, H. C. McCoy, N. Heath, and Ernest Davis; vice-rangatiras, Sir Joseph Smith, Messrs. T. H. Brooke, H. R. Maxwell and F. H. Pope; committee, Messrs. F. N. Ambler, C. E. Clarke, G. Colledge, T. T. Garland, D. Johns, W. C. Kemble, J. H. Kinnear, W. A. Philip, G. N. L. Watson, H. S. Withers and H. Hayes (orchestral representative); hon. secretary, Mr. N. G. Henley; treasurer, Mr. R. J. Lusher; auditor, Mr. W. Crawford Young; orchestral conductor, Mr. Colin Muston; hon. accompanist, Mr. E. Bell.
