NORTHCOTE RELIEF
POSITION IMPROVED The improved economic position was reflected at the monthly meeting of the Northcote Welfare League, when reports indicated that the number of necessitous cases had appreciably diminished. In view of this satisfactory trend it was agreed to hold meetings of the general committee on alternate months instead of monthly, the next gathering being fixed for July. Owing to the departure of Mrs. J. G. Lockie to live at Grevmouth, tho secretarial duties have been undertaken by Mrs. B. W. Ferner, who was welcomed in that capacity by the president, Mrs. A. J. Beck, who presided.
