AIR MAIL SERVICES
ENCOURAGING THEIR USE In connection with the statement by tho Postmaster-General, tho Hon. F. Jones, that unless there was a ' substantial increase in the amount of support given to air mail services it was likely they would be withdrawn, tho secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Dr. E. P. Nealc, said yesterday that tho chamber was alive to the possibility of the cessation of air mail facilities and had done its best to influence business peoplo to use the services. A circular letter had been sent to members pointing out the time saved in tho transmission by air of letters to South Island centres. The circular also stressed tho fact that air mails closed an hour later than ordinary mails, and that it cost no more to despatch a letter by air mail than to pay a lato fee.
