NORTHCOTE AND BIRKENHEAD Tho Waiteniata Horticultural Society was formed last night at a meeting of residents in tho Northcoto and Birkenhead districts. ]\lr. J. L. Hanna presided. The following officers were electeJl: —Patron, Mr. D. P. O'Lcary; vice-patrons, Mr. Henry Hayward, and tho Mayors of Birkenhead and Northcote (Messrs. G. Mills and R. Martin); president, Mr. J. L. Hanna; vice-presi-dent, Mrs. F. G. Blackwell; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. N. Leefc; committee, Mesdames R. F. Featherstono, G. B. Hewson, A. E. 11. Harrison, 0. Burton, and Mr. F. H. Bodle.
