BOY DIRECTS POLICE . KIDNAPPER TRAPPED NEW YORK, April 26 Quick thinking enabled a boy aged 10 to escape from a kidnapper at Allentown, Pennsylvania, and then direct the police in a search which resulted in the arrest of his captor. While on the way to school Henry Koch, jun., son of a wealthy family, was enticed into a motor-car by a man, later identified as Richard Taylor, who had been arrested several times previously on minor charges. With his hands and feet bound and his mouth covered with tape, the boy was left at an isolated spot in the country while his kidnapper returned to town and sent a note demanding 20,000 dollars for the return of the child, on threats of death. Before the note could bo delivered, however, Henry cut his bonds by rubbing them against a sharp rock. He telephoned to his home and 'to the police. Then he directed the police to the exact spot where he had been left, and when Taylor returned he was easily arrested. Taylor confessed that he had been planning the crime for some time.
