LINDBERGH CASE SEQUEL

ARREST OF KIDNAPPERS VICTIM'S " CONFESSION " NEW YORK, April 26 The Lindbergh case produced a sequel in New York to-day with the indictment of four men for kidnapping Paul Wendel, whose " confession " of murdering the Lindbergh baby gained Bruno Hauptmann three days' reprieve from death. One of those indicted is Ellis Parker, jun., son of a famous New Jersey detective whom the Governor of New Jersey, Mr. H. G. Hoffman, employed in an attempt to prove Hauptmann innocent. According to the charge, Parker and his accomplices assaulted Wendel in New York and held him prisoner while he was transported to New Jersey. The case developed in a startling fashion when Ellis Parker, jun., eluded the police. He is alleged to be determined to avoid indictment on the kidnapping charge. New Jersey officials curtly ordered Ellis Parker to arrest his son on sight.
