SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED

CONCERT AT ANNEXE The soldier patients in the annexe at the hospital were entertained on Thursday evening by " Uncle Jim " and his concert party of radio and stage artists in the Social Hall. Tho programme comprised musical, vocal, dramatic, comedy and dance items. Madame Annetta Stock played the accompaniments and incidental music. Towards the close of tho evening a entertainment " Uncle Jim " made a brief reference to the sacrifices made by tho soldier patients and to Anzac Day and all it stood for. At his invitation tho whole assembly stood and sang the well known hymn "Abide With Me," m memory of tho fallen. Tho following artists contributed to the programme:—Tho Romancers, " Friend John," Mrs. Simpson, Misses Bene Stone, Nola Howe, Fay Helmbrecht, Messrs. McKenna, E. Wakefield and Master Frank Greene. Mr. Creagh, on behalf of tho soldier patients, thanked "Uncle Jim" and his party for their efforts in providing such an enjoyable entertainment.
