NEWS FROM WHANGAREI

A thoughtful action on the part of the Wliangarei Ladies' Gardening Club last week resulted in each inmate of the Wliangarei Hospital receiving a basket containing flowers, fruit and luxuries. The occasion was "Hospital Day" with the Gardening Club, and the presentation of the baskets was made to the patients by the president, Airs. J. A. Inkster, and Mrs. W. A. Given. The annual dance of the Otamatea Sheep Dog Trial Club attracted a large attendance, and a most pleasant evening was held. Among those present were: — Airs. J. Alassey, Airs. H. Snelling, Mrs. J.
