PRICES AT WATHOU CATTLE IN KEEN DEMAND LARGE YARDING OF PIGS The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports that at its fortnightly stock sale at Waihou last week there was a good entry of fat and store sheep, which sold well at late quotations. The cattle pens were filled to overflowing with nil classes of fat and store cattle. Competition was keen throughout, and a total clearance wns effected at full market rules. A large entry of potter hulls sold at. late rates. In tlie dairy cattle section there was a full entry of heifers, which met with a good market. A line of 28 heifers, 011 account of Mr. W. PUKEKOHE HORSE FAIR [from our OWN' correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Monday A larger yarding than at the last sale was offered at the fortnightly horse sale held by Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, at Pukekohe, last week. Prices were equal to those ruling recently. Aged horses were hard to quit. A 2!-ycar-old bay filly was sold privately for £47 10s. An 8-year-old grey gelding was sold under the hammer for £4O, and a 7-year-old bay gelding brought £35 10s. Medium to heavy draughts made trom £35 10s to £4O; other useful farm norses, £2O to £2O; aged farm horses, £l2 to £18; hacks, £7 5s to £l4. TE ANGA CATTLE PRICES Reporting on its stock sale held at Te Anga last week, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Btatcs that its yarding was a very heavy one. The yarding comprised a number of pens of heavy fat cowe, several lines of grown, and one and two-year store steers, a number of store-conditioned weaner and 18nionths heifers, many odd lots of light fat to store-quality Jersey cows, and a few bulls. All classes of fat cattle sold bi'iskly, while for store Jersey cows "Waikato realisations were equalled. Buyers competed keenly for the store steers, and all sold at very satisfactory prices. The advertised Jersey heifers in calf drew brisk competition and prices were most satisfactory. The entry of pigs was small and satisfactory prices were secured. Values for baconers and porkers were very firm, and prices in other centres were fully maintained. An extra heavy yarding of stores and weaners exceeded the demand ajid a slow sale resulted.
