WAIKATO HUNT
SUCCESS OF PAST SEASON OPENING MEET ON MAY 5 [from oub own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE. Monday It was decided at the annual meeting of the Waikato Hunt, over which the master, Mr. Wynn Brown, presided, to hold the opening meet on May 5. The annual report showed a successful season's operations A profit of £ISOO resulted from the jubilee race meeting in October. The suggestion that the hunt should now increase its stake money for the annunl Labour Day meeting was made by Mr Harold "Windsor. 4 . It was decided to purchase 500 stock rails and 1000 posts in order to improve tho fence* in the country over which hunts to Messrs]' e S. McMillan. James Taylor, R. H. Townsend and F. Vosper, who retired by rotation, were re-elected to tbe committee. Other officers elected were:—Treasurer, Mr. H Windsor; solicitor, Mr. D. J. Lundon; auditor, Mr. P. G. Harvey.
