|THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE Q turnover maintained Pealing; was maintained at a steady volume on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Industrial issues were again in favour, further progress being made by several issues. Buying support for Government loans continued to show an improving tendency and' some requirements were met. Listless conditions persisted in 'banks. Commercials of Australia retained their strength in a transaction at 20s 3d, but Australasias at £ll 17s 6d were marked down considerably in comparison with business two months B£o. Insurances were steady. In loan and agency GoldsbroughJtforts were dealt in Is Id lower 'than the last sale, which took place early in March. Among the industrial issues* Broken Hdl Proprietaries were again in keen demand and both issues were traded at an advance. New Zealand Drugs were lifted Is on sale, at 76s (3d, and Consolidated Bricks moved up another ' Id to 10s Id. Westport Coals added 3d to their last sale price and were taken at 22s 3d. Xew Zealand Breweries were secured unaltered at an early call, but at the end of the day holders closed substantially firmer at 52s 9d. New Zealand Newspapers were released 3d easier at 42s 3d.
