FIRE AT TAUPO
LAUNCH OWNER'S LOSS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAUPO, Monday A fire, which was first noticed at about 8.30 p.m. on Saturday, destroyed a two-roomed wooden buildine owned by the Taupo Road Board. The main part of the building was used by Mr. G. Davis, launch proprietor, as a workshop and it contained two outboard motors, u spare engine for his launch, a valuable set of tools, and a stock of oils and paints. Mr. Davis estimates his loss at well over £IOO, as nothing was saved from the building, which burned fiercely for some time.
