FAREWELL AFTERNOON
The members of the Henderson branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union met last week to bid farewell to one of their foundation members, Mrs. Williams, who is leaving the district. The function was held at the home of Mrs. Piatt, sen., president of the branch, who expressed the regret of all present in losing Mrs. Williams, who has been treasurer for many years. Mrs. Piatt presented Mrs, Williams with a supper set as a token of esteem, and Mrs. Watterson, another foundation member, presented her with a bouquet. Items were given by Mrs. G. Noble, and various amusing competitions were held, the winners being Mrs. Paltridge and Mrs. Grainger. Afternoon tea was served.
