FINANCES OF THE CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD [from oub own correspondent} MERCER, Sunday The financial statement for the regatta held at Mercer on February 29 was presented at the nnn\ial meeting of the Mercer Regatta Club. It showed that payments had exceeded receipts by £3O, reducing the accumulated funds to £ll7. tn view of the fact that the prizemoney this year had been £75 greater than at the previous regatta and that a considerable sum had been spent in nonrecurring expenses, such as the purchase of a typewriter, this was considered satisfactory. The president, Mr. A. J. Bourne, paid a warm tribute to tho work of the secretary, Mr. H. Prattley. It was mentioned that rowing entries in terms of individual competitors per event amounted to 21G at the regatta, while canoe entries totalled 30, dancing competition entries 88, and Maori entries 40.
