DUPLICATE LINE WANTED SERVICE TO EDGECUMBE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Sunday The necessity for a duplicate line from Arapuni to Edgecumbe was discussed at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Power Board, when the engineer-manager, Mr. J. D. Dicker, reported that as the'board's load was steadily increasing, the Public Works Department at an early date would have to increase the line and substation capacity. It was decided to instruct Mr. Sumner to interview the department during his forthcoming visit to Wellington, and to emphasise the urgency of a duplicate line.
