PEARL FISHERIES
JAPANESE DIVERS WARSHIP AS ESCORT DARWIN. April 23 Reports from several independent sources have been received to the effect that a destroyer is noting as escort and guard to the 59 Japanese pearling schooners operating in Australian territorial waters. Malay divers are emphatic that they aro not confusing this destroyer with motor-ships which convey supplies to the Japanese divers, as one supply ship always remains with the fleet while the other takes away the shell.
