BETTER DISTRIBUTION MR. G. LANSBURY'S PLEA (Received April 23, 7.35 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 22 A plea for the better distribution of essential materials of life as a means of abolishing poverty and removing the causes of war was made to-day by Mr. George Lansbury, formerly leader of the British Labour Party, who is visiting New York. Calling poverty a man-made crime, he said: " There is no danger of a scarcity unless we manufacture a scarcity."
