NEW YORK'S LARGE SHARE TOTAL AMERICAN ALLOCATION NEW YORK. April 22 Although New York is the wealthiest State in the nation, and has only onetenth of the whole country's population, it is nevertheless receiving 27 per cent of relief work funds apportioned by the Federal Government. The total allocation throughout the country for relief work is 4,576,000,000 dollars, and at the present rate it is expected that another 1,000,000,000 dollars will be required to finish the fiscal year.
