SEAMAN'S MESSAGE
WASHED UP NEAR HOME LOSS OF STEAMER RECALLED LONDON, April 22 A seaman's last message, ■written while the steamer Saxilby was sinking with all hands in a storm 400 miles out in the Atlantic in November, 1933, was washed up on the beach at Abcravon, a mile from his home. The message was in a cocoa tin, which was found by a fisherman digging for bait. It was addressed to the seaman's sisters, brothers and widow. Ihe finder took it to the man's parents, who identified his writing.
