UNEXPECTED CATCH
STINGRAY IN HARBOUH A STRENUOUS FIGHT PRINCE'S WHARF INCIDENT After a strenuous fight lasting fully half an hour, a large stingray was landed at the end of Prince's Wharf yesterday morning. The fish was hooked by Mr. A* Eriksen, an ex-Canadian soldipr, who is a well-known member of the waterfront angling* fraternity. Although one of his fingers was torn during the struggle, Mr. Eriksen was abJe to hold on to the fish, which finally took four men to haul it up to the wharf. It measured 6ft. 7in. in length and was 4ft. sin. across. After its sting had been removed, it was thrown back into the harbour.
