IRONING ADVICE

Artificial silks Bhould be washed in the same way as silks, but should be ironed almost dry. Iron on the wrong side without pulling or stretching, and use a cool iron. Woollens also need a cool iron, and they should never be ironed across the weaving. Silk garments are best ironed with a rather hot iron while damp, as this stiffens them better. Georgette and ninon, however, need a cool iron. Lace and embroidery should be ironed on the wrong side over a folded blanket to bring up the pattern.
