A series of baffling murders coincides with the descent of a dense fog over London, thus heightening the difficulties of detection. Following swiftly upon each other, murder after murder is committed in different neighbourhoods. Each corpso is found with a couple of tiny punctures in tho nock and a burnt match by its side. Tho " flying snake " killer becomes tho hidden terror of London.
