GOLF SURPRISE PARTY
A surprise party was given to Mrs. J. T. D. Lloyd to celebrate her silver wedding by Mrs. J. H. Stewart and a number of golfing friends at Mrs. Stewart's home in Belvedere Street, Epsom. The evening was spent in playing flag bridge. When play was ended, the president of ' the Maungakiekie Ladies' Golf Club, Mrs. N. Burton, expressed the good wishes of those present to Mrs. Lloyd. Sho also presented her with a beautiful crystal bowl and a bouquet beautifully arranged by Mrs. Schnauer as a token of affection from her golfing friends. In reply, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd expressed their appreciation of the good wishes and gifts. Mrs. Stewart received her guests in a gown of dusky pink floral georgette, and the guest of honour wore rose ana green shot silk •cloque. Among those present were:—Mesdames F. Roberts, H. Harvey, D. Stewart, N. Clarke, J. Easton, G. Easton, R. Mahon, M. Stewart, C. Stewart, E. Blackburn, J. Johnson, P. Kerr, and I. Trice, of Wellington.
