Miss O'Grady, o:f Omokoroa, and Miss Henderson, of Loudon, have arrived in Auckland on a visit to Mrs. Shutte, of Brown's Bay. Mrs. A. L. Stedman, Woodley Avenue, Remuera. who has been visiting Wanganui, will return to Auckland this morning. Mrs. Sinclair Reid, Ranui Road, Remuera, who hu.s been the guest of Mrs. J. Banks, of Cambridge, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Denzil Barker, of Gisborne, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. Sidney Thorne George, Remuera Road, will return home on Sunday. Mrs. H. M. Gumbleton and Miss Shelagh Gumbleton, Clonbern Road, Remuera have returned from a holiday visit to Taupo and Rotorua. At the Grand Hotel are: —Mrs. D. C. Collins Wellington), Mrs. D. Lady Herdman and Miss Joyce Herdman, who have oeen spending several months at Lake Rotoiti, are visiting Auckland. They are at the Station Hotel. ' Mrsr'E. R." Elder, of the Anglican Mission at Labasu, Fiji, who has been staying with her brother, Canon Percival James in Wellington, arrived in Auckland yesterday and is the guest of Mrs. John Daivson, of Epsom. Mrs. L. Hazel, of Paris, who, with her husband, has been touring New Zealand for the past few weeks, will arrive in Auckland to-morrow and will stay at the Grand Hotel. She will leave Auckland next Friday for Sydney. At the Station Hotel are: —Mrs. E. G. Nicholson and Miss M. Kember (Wellington), Mrs. E. A. Robertson and Mrs. M. Chandler (Rotorua), Miss J. Slocombe and Miss E. Jekyll (Christchurch), the Misses H. and I. Stewart (Waingaro). Mrs. T. Tidswoll, of One Tree Hill, accompanied by her husband, will leave shortly for England and Europe. On Tuesday last Mrs. Tidswell was entertained by a number of her friends at the Lyceum Club and presented with a travelling tea set. The first meeting of the Business Girls' Fraternity was held in the Y.W.C.A. Assembly Hall this week. Brief addresses were given by Mrs. H. Dyson, Mrs. Victor Macky, Miss Carnachan, Mrs. Matthew (London), Miss Hubber and Miss, Phillips, the physical director of the Y.W.C.A. Interspersed with the addresses were instrumental items by Mrs. Henderson and violin solos by Miss J. Craig.
